For nearly 70 years, the majority of fly lines have been made from PVC - a naturally rigid plastic that requires the use of plasticizers to make PVC lines functional.  These plasticizers are anything but a permanent part of a PVC line.  You see, from the minute it's made, a PVC line starts breaking down - leaching plasticizers into the environment and contaminating you and the waters you fish.  Once it has shed enough of these, it becomes prone to cracking, even failure.  If that's not enough, as it decomposes, PVC is known to release Dioxins - a group of lethal, bioaccumulating toxins.  Consequently, it is almost impossible to safely recycle PVC line.  All of which is why Airflo never uses PVC.  Instead, our lines are made from Polyurethane - an inert, stable, fully recyclable material that requires no plasticizers and lasts far longer than PVC.

Superflo Universal Taper WF-5 Floating

Designed specifically for modern, fast action rods, the SPT was created for anglers looking to cast big flies a country miles, straight into a 20 knot wind, using stiff powerful rod.

Superflo XCEED WF-7 Floating

The Airflo Superflo Xceed taper features a slightly more aggressive tip taper, superbly increasing turn over at short range, as well as propelling weighted flies with ease.

The Superflo Xceed fly line has been designed with a slightly heavier front end taper, this allows the line to be loaded on the more common faster action fly rods of today. This slightly heavier weight forward head has a condensed taper optimized for casting into the wind and generating higher line speeds. This is the best floating fly line on the market for fishing a dry, or washing line technique.
