Texas Freshwater fly fishing, holiday gift guide, fly fishing gifts, gifts for fly anglers, gifts for fly fishermen, texas fly fishing gifts

If you have some money burning a hole in your pocket, and what to get someone (or yourself) something really nice, and Texas fly fishing based, here is TFFF's Holiday Gift Guide for gifts over $100.

Seaborn Tributary Fly Rod - $249.00

Long before ranch runs into reef there’s a thousand miles of riffle and run. We think those places need a rod too! So, with the same Seaborn quality as our Brakwater Series, we’ve designed our Tributary rods. Boasting a true medium action, this rod will give you all the feels. Hill Country streams, high alpine lakes, the Guadalupe all the way up to Arkansas’ White. Anywhere freshwater fish will take a fly, our Tributary Series will help you deliver.

A Guided Trip Down the Devil's River - $1750- $2000

Devils River, Devil's River, Texas Fly Fishing, Fly Fishing Texas, Fly Fishing Gifts, Fly Fishing Guided trip
This is the first time TFFF has added a guided trip onto this Holiday list, and I decided not to choose any one specific guide this time.  But, if you are trying to get someone a true Texas Freshwater Fly Fishing experience, a fly fishing trip down the Devil's River is about the top of that list (in terms of uniqueness.)  You will have good fishing for smallmouth and largemouth bass, as well as plenty of sunfish, some catfish, and even carp.

I've done the Devil's River a few times, and even with as popular of a destination as it has become, it is still a wonderful experience.  I would certainly recommend using a guide service (I know Expedition Outfitters runs trips, as well as Reel Fly, and several other Texas based guide services.)
